a while back in the spring of 2007 I recorded a track as I was still inspired after watching an incredible drum club from Niagara Falls perform at the Grape and Wine festival in Montebello Park St Catharines.
the beats were hypnotic and I watched 3 and 4 year olds twirling around in front of the stage beside 60+ seniors doing the same thing. it was wonderful and it reminded me the universal power behind good rhythms. Alternation and repetition. :)
that drum group's sound reminded me of 808 state's b side track from their single ep for Timebomb called Reaper Repo. After trying to create a mimic of that track's chill tribal hypnotic state I decided it was pretty much a loose cover version that I feel doesn't hold a candle to the amazing original. But I'll try right? :p
